Because Bill turns 60, May 7. When asked how he wanted to celebrate, he wanted to have a campout with his friends. That means you! We chose Burning Man as a theme because we are drawn to the spirit of community that it creates among friends and strangers. 

This party is a labor of love and we all love our Bill! It was dreamed up one night at a poker game and the planning began immediately. Giovonna, Jen Andrade, Kelly Freitas, Melissa Shorey, Jen Wathen, and Sandy & Darren are your hosts. 

NO. This is Bill's Burning Man, not Bill's birthday party. :) Realistically, do what you have to do. But, you will be harassed, and we hope that you will be respectful to spirit of the event. We hope to keep the work to the minimum and Fun at the maximum. It doesn't work if everyone doesn't contribute.

Sandy & Darren live on a large ranch in Wilton. Named after years of Halloween parties, Lake Wiltovania is a large pond/small lake that's about five acres. You can fish in the lake and technically, you can swim in the lake. We think it will be a lovely place to have Bill's Burning Man. 

The lake is approximately five acres in a pasture that is about 20 acres. You should be prepared to drive across a field. Flat space is limited, but we hope to accommodate everyone. We are camping where motorhomes have been many times. The fencing has been modified to make turning easy. If you have specific concerns, please reach out to Bill or Sandy. 

We will have a party tent for dancing, eating, etc. The fire circle will be beside it. There will be some seating, but folks should bring chairs. 

No way! This is Wilton, we will have a very beautiful, portable, blue toilet. And, it will be free!

We hope to burn a version of a burning man....this will be dependent on our weather. How dry are the fields? We will have a community fire circle. In the event that we can not safely have a bonfire, we will create one with multiple propane fireplaces. 

Whatever you want! Your hostesses never miss an opportunity to dress up. I promise they will be in full festival regalia! Feel free to dress your best or worst. 

Mexican food will be provided for dinner and Bill & Sandy are making us all breakfast. 

We think it will be fun to have a large community hosted bar. We ask everyone to bring drinks to share. Bring what you like to drink. Ideas: beer, soda, premade cocktails in jars, cocktails in cans, jello shots, whatever....There will be large,, party-size coolers in the main tent for sharing, probably more an evening thing. 

If it rains on our parade, this will become a barn party and everyone will be notified.
